I awakened my own mindfulness on a journey I took to escape the realities of life and my own mind, realising that nature is a part of ourselves, which means that when I was looking out, I was really looking in. My feelings became a poem without words, as words could not express or grasp what I found in myself. It took me a while to realise that I wasn’t really escaping by being outside in nature but my love of the outdoors showed me myself. I feel like my thoughts and emotions are cleansed, calmed and prioritised into a sensible order because they are portrayed in nature but recognised by my mindfulness.
